Massachusetts Institute of Technology is rated No. 1 in the US News ranking of Best Quantum Physics Programs (2011), followed by Harvard University in second place and California Institute of Technology in third place.
University of Colorado--Boulder is ranked 5th for quantum physics. In addition, U.S. News has ranked CU-Boulder's PhD program in atomic and molecular physics 1st in the nation.
